The High Evolutionary Learns The Fate Of MCU Villain In Guardians of the Galaxy 3 Deleted Scene [EXCLUSIVE]

The High Evolutionary's plans begin to fall apart in an exclusive Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 deleted scene. The latest installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe sub-franchise introduced audiences to Chukwudi Iwuji's villain, a haunting scientist out to perfect the galaxy by creating a special race of hybrids, with Bradley Cooper's Rocket being one of his earlier creations. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 saw the group have to put a stop to The High Evolutionary's plans while also protecting Rocket in the villain's efforts to reclaim him.
In honor of its upcoming digital release on July 7, Screen Rant is proud to present an exclusive Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 deleted scene.
The clip, as seen above, sees The High Evolutionary on the bridge of his ship, being visited by Reinaldo Faberlle's Behemoth. The MCU villain looking for good news on the search for Rocket, but unfortunately for him, Behemoth reveals that the Guardians have killed Judy Greer's War Pig and clearly irritates the High Evolutionary in the process.
Will The High Evolutionary Return In The MCU's Future? Having properly been beaten down by the cosmic superhero team, The High Evolutionary's fate was briefly left unknown in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Rocket spared him, but seemingly left him aboard his imploding ship. This would later be clarified by both filmmaker James Gunn and visual effects artist Miguel Ángel Acevedo Montserrat, who revealed that Dave Bautista's Drax actually saved the MCU villain from dying and left him imprisoned on Knowhere.
With the character left alive, unlike their prior major villains of Ronan the Accuser and Ego the Living Planet, the question on many audiences' minds has become whether The High Evolutionary will return after Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Given that Gunn has moved on to the world of DC as the co-CEO of DC Studios, the future of the characters introduced by him are largely unknown, save for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3's ending tags of Rocket forming a new team and the promise of the "Legendary Star-Lord" returning at some point.

In the comics, The High Evolutionary has a number of connections to a variety of characters planned for the MCU's future, namely that of iconic X-Men villain Mister Sinister, who acted as his mentor, the Fantastic Four, Thor, and Hercules — the latter of whom was introduced in Thor: Love and Thunder. With the character also being part of the Secret Wars storyline, which is expected to be the second of the upcoming Avengers movies, the possibilities seem endless for the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 villain to bring his terrifying presence into future stories.
Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is available to buy only at Digital retailers on July 7 and arrives on 4K Ultra HD™, Blu-ray™ and DVD on August 1.
