Deadpool 3"s Multiverse Rumors Given A Huge Boost After Loki Star Spotted In London

The appearance of a Marvel actor in London, where Deadpool 3 is filming has made rumors of the multiverse featuring heavily in Ryan Reynolds" MCU debut way more likely. Recent reports have suggested that Deadpool 3"s cast list is mind-blowing, with rumored appearances by Channing Tatum as Gambit, X-Men cameos and even an older version of Daredevil, after unconfirmed reports Ben Affleck was spotted on set. If the plot takes Deadpool further into the multiverse, the potential for cameos in that ilk suddenly becomes a lot more tangible.As reported by Twitter"s DeadpoolUpdates, Owen Wilson posed for a photograph with fans in London, prompting further speculation that his Loki character, Mobius, will appear in Deadpool 3. Wilson"s appearance in the upcoming sequel was first reported by Jeff Sneider, with the TVA supposedly getting involved in Deadpool"s multiversal interfering.

Given Deadpool 2"s ending saw Marvel"s Merc with a Mouth using time travel to hop into alternate timelines to kill off X-Men Origins: Wolverine"s version of Deadpool and Reynolds himself to wipe out WB"s disastrous Green Lantern adaptation, the multiverse storyline already has its set up. Mobius turning up to keep Deadpool in check as he continues to explore the mulitverse (and presumably eventually end up in the MCU officially) makes a lot of sense.

Why Deadpool 3 Is Perfect For The Multiverse, Despite Fan Burnout

Deadpool 2 setting up the multiverse is the simplest way for Deadpool to be brought into the MCU, with the Multiverse Saga already in play. Retrospectively suggesting that Deadpool was messing with alternate timelines and creating branches in the now infamous post-credits sequence would be a smart retro-fit. It would also explain why Hugh Jackman is back as Wolverine despite his death in Logan. It would also iron out the X-Men timeline issues created by Days Of Future Past, which kept Colossus alive, only for Deadpool to introduce a completely different version, supposedly to the same timeline.

Deadpool is a wild card for Marvel movies since he"s able to break the fourth wall with reckless abandon and refers to the existence of other MCU movies. On top of that Deadpool 2 already used stunt casting to great success for hilariously brief cameos like Brad Pitt"s Vanisher. Using the multiverse to dial that up to 11 works, even with rumbles of fan burnout of multiverse stories. There is, of course, an elephant in the room to address, as the rumors sound an awful lot like Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" Illuminati trick (not to mention The Flash"s less successful multiverse cameos), but at least Deadpool 3 could provide some barbed humor to address that.
