Hailee Steinfeld becomes live-action Gwen Stacy in new Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse fan art. Steinfeld returned for the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse sequel with an even bigger role as Spider-Woman than she had in the original animated feature. Gwen Stacy was one of the focal points of the film, with the story starting and ending with her, which led to the character being one of the best in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. Now, Steinfeld gets imagined playing Gwen in a different way.
On Instagram, digital artist @arifinity_ shared their vision for what Steinfeld could look like as live-action Gwen Stacy Spider-Woman.
Steinfeld looks pitch-perfect as Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse's Gwen Stacy in the live-action fan art. The actress sure has the chops to make the transition between mediums, and a live-action turn as Spider-Woman in the near future is possible for Steinfeld.
Could Hailee Steinfeld Play Gwen Stacy In Live-Action?

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse featured live-action universes in a few different, interesting ways. The Spot used his powers to travel into the Venom universe, robbing Mrs. Chen's convenience store. Later, Donald Glover appeared as a live-action Prowler — a callback to him playing Aaron Davis in Spider-Man: Homecoming — in a cell inside the Spider-Society's HQ. Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's Spider-Men also appeared in the film through the use of archival footage, with scenes from their movies showing up when Miguel O'Hara explained what canon events are.
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse opened up the world of the Spider-Verse movies to live-action elements and characters, and with the trilogy finale aptly titled Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, there is a chance that some characters will make the jump from animation to live-action in the film. Shameik Moore has been vocal about wanting to play Miles Morales in live-action, as has Steinfeld about portraying Gwen Stacy.
Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse is the perfect place for that to happen, with a brief sequence in the movie possibly seeing the characters jump into a live-action universe, which theoretically would change them from animation to their real-life actors. Steinfeld's chances of playing the live-action Gwen Stacy Spider-Woman would likely end there, as she already gives life to Kate Bishop in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Still, her star turn in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse has many clamoring for her to appear as Gwen Stacy in live-action, and there is a chance that could happen next year.
