10 "Your Tailor Is A Predator." Deadpool gets fitted for a brand-new suit by the TVA One of the many visual gags used in Deadpool & Wolverine's trailer that was expanded on in the movie was Deadpool's elaborate suit-up sequence. When the TVA provides him with a brand new suit and armory, Wade Wilson heads to their tailor for a flashy, quickly-cut suit-up montage. The TVA's tailor takes several opportunities to "sample the goods", so to speak, giving Deadpool a few firm grabs and slaps in sensitive areas. This joke even gets play in the film's merchandise, with the recent release of a Deadpool-themed video game controller with a delicately-sculpted plastic backside.
At first, it seems as though this joke begins and ends with the film's editing, with the closeup shots of the otherwise cool-looking suit-up sequence soon devolving into a slap or a grab from the handsy TVA tailor. It was utterly unexpected for the first line Deadpool says immediately after casually striding out of the tailor's office to be "Your tailor is a predator.", resulting in an eruption of laughter. Sometimes, Deadpool's best tactic for humor is to simply state the obvious.

Most of this is directed at Hugh Jackman's Wolverine, a variant of the Fox universe hero who sacrifices himself to save Laura at the end of 2017's Logan. For the first time in seven years, Laura gets to share the screen with Wolverine again, even if it isn't the same one that saved her.
Wolverine tries to explain that he isn't the hero that the Fox universe's Wolverine is, being a failure who was unable to protect his fellow X-Men in his own universe. Laura tries to convince him to come along for Deadpool's mission to defeat Cassandra Nova, but he refuses to budge, telling her she's "got the wrong guy." Laura simply replies that he was always the "wrong guy", making Wolverine realize that he isn't so different from the other version of himself who died after all.
7 "Flame On!" Johnny Storm activates his fire powers As Deadpool and Wolverine encounter Cassandra Nova's raiders of the Void, they manage to find a single ally in their favor, a mysterious hooded figure played by Chris Evans. Like most Marvel fans, Deadpool immediately assumes this to be Captain America, and quickly becomes giddy with fanboy joy as Chris Evans' character prepares to say his catchphrase. Blade joins the fight at Cassandra Nova's compound The return of Wesley Snipes' Blade was another gratuitous cameo that few would've guessed was on the table going in to Deadpool & Wolverine. Having not played Blade since a brief quasi-cameo in the comedy vampire series What We Do In The Shadows, Wesley Snipes returned to the role, sharing the screen with Ryan Reynolds for the first time since Blade: Trinity. Blade was among the Void survivors to join Deadpool and Wolverine in assaulting Cassandra Nova's compound, slaughtering scores of B-List X-Men villains in the process.
At one point in the fight, Blade comments on the futility of the resistance of Cassandra Nova's minions, stating "Some mother******s are STILL trying to ice skate uphill." Of course, this is a reference to Snipes' greatest line in the Blade trilogy, said just before he executes the vampire villain of that film, Deacon Frost. Famously, Snipes used the remark to describe the villain off-camera, and director Steven Norrington liked the verbiage so much that he included it in the final product.
5 "You Couldn't Even Save A Relationship With A Stripper!" Deadpool and Wolverine fight in a Honda Odyssey As one of the most diametrically-opposed funny man and straight man duos ever, it's no surprise that Deadpool and Wolverine spend a good chunk of their titular team-up movie's screentime arguing. One of their worst fights happens in the cab of Nicepool's Honda Odyssey, which quickly devolves into a tear-down close-quarters knife fight out of sheer frustration. The line that officially angers Deadpool to the point of violent confrontation mocks his ability to save the world, saying he "couldn't even save a relationship with a stripper!"
Earlier, Deadpool admits to Wolverine the rocky status of his relationship with Vanessa, who he generously describes as a dancer when they first met. Reading between the lines, Wolverine later uses this confession as ammunition during their argument in Nicepool's minivan, clearly striking a nerve with the rarely-ratted Merc with a Mouth. This line is incredibly harsh, but very memorable, resulting in one of the few instances in which Deadpool doesn't immediately have a snarky comeback.

What was less expected was the costume actually being something of a plot point in the film, with the reveal that Wolverine always wears the suit under his clothes as a form of repentance. The X-Men tried to get him to wear it, and he never did. Once they were gone, Wolverine wore the suit out of a sense of guilt.
It isn't until the end of Deadpool & Wolverine that Logan is finally able to tearfully admit that he's proud to wear the suit. After so much guilt and suffering, Wolverine still identifies himself as an X-Man after all, and may finally have stopped blaming himself for the death of his team. This emotional full-circle moment is one of the few lines in Deadpool & Wolverine that is memorable for its narrative satisfaction rather than its comedy.
3 "Is Your Dialect Coach The Minions?" Deadpool meets Channing Tatum's Gambit While Channing Tatum's solo Gambit movie was sadly lost in development limbo, Deadpool & Wolverine finally gave the actor a chance to play the role he was so excited about in a modern superhero blockbuster. Gambit is among the survivors Deadpool and Wolverine meet after escaping Cassandra Nova, showing off his authentic Cajun accent. The thickness of this accent and Deadpool's (and the audience's) inability to understand it is one of the film's best running gags.
Upon first hearing Gambit speak, Deadpool incredulously asks if it was the Minions of the Despicable Me franchise who taught him to talk in such a way, hilariously downplaying the work Tatum put into the performance. The Minions are known for speaking in a pidgin combining French, Spanish, and other random words pulled from a variety of languages, resulting in absolute gibberish. By comparing Gambit's speech to them, Deadpool gets one of the biggest laughs out of any line of dialogue in the film.
2 "There's Only Ever Gonna BE One Blade." Blade prepares to storm Cassandra Nova's fortress As Deadpool, Wolverine, and their collection of cameos prepare to storm Cassandra Nova's fort made from the bones of a giant-sized Ant-Man, Deadpool takes a moment to comment on the nature of variants in the multiverse, finding it odd how many different versions of the same character can exist at once. Overhearing this, Blade asserts that he's the only one of his kind around, going as far as to claim "There's only ever gonna be one Blade.", prompting a deadpan stare into the camera by Deadpool.
The line, combined with Deadpool's reaction, is undoubtedly a reference to the production woes Mahershala Ali's Blade is experiencing, being stuck in development since 2019. The line seems to imply that the project might never come to fruition, and Snipes' Blade will remain the only live-action interpretation of the character. It's one thing for Deadpool & Wolverine to poke fun at the MCU's past failures, but dissing their very future puts this line on a whole new level, proving nothing is sacred to Deadpool's humor.

Nicepool tries his hand at a fourth-wall break Deadpool's most famous characteristic is his ability to break the fourth wall, recognizing that he's a fictional character with the ability to directly address the audience no matter what medium he's in. It turns out that this isn't a trait unique to the Fox timeline Deadpool we all know and love, with other variations also being capable of "lightly pressing on the fourth wall", as so eloquently put by Nicepool. He goes on to demonstrate, gazing into the camera and simply whispering "The Proposal."
Of course, this is a reference to the name of another famous Ryan Reynolds movie, The Proposal, a romantic comedy co-starring Sandra Bullock. The original Deadpool is aghast at this low-effort joke, hilariously admonishing Nicepool for his lack of creativity. Still, Reynold's spot-on delivery as the zoned-out Nicepool is intensely funny, making the simple line one of the most memorable in all of Deadpool & Wolverine.
