Finally, A Star Wars Game That"s Not About Jedi

Star Wars Outlaws appears to be one of the few Star Wars games to not rely on the traditional trope of Jedi and Sith battling over the galaxy, but instead focuses on a woman who is just trying to create her own life amid the interstellar wars. Players will take control of the character Kay Vess as she attempts to make a memorable heist without getting caught. Set between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, there is a lot that developers could do using their new protagonist to give fans a glimpse at another side of the story during this pivotal time period.
The concept of not using a Jedi for the main character of a Star Wars game is not new, but with well over 100 games that take place in the Star Wars franchise, most of them do focus on the traditional concept of the Jedi at their core. This open-world game will allow for another perspective on the events unfolding in the galaxy and provides a fun plot point for players to explore. If the focus of Star Wars Outlaws is truly on heists and outwitting the enemy rather than the Jedi force powers and intergalactic politics, it promises to be a distinctive adventure amid a familiar franchise.
