Everything We Know About Marvel's Wonder Man Show Close Wonder Man will follow Simon Williams, a movie star turned superhero. Wonder Man will be played by Watchmen alum Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, making it his third superhero role. Abdul-Mateen will be joined by Ben Kingsley's Trevor Slattery, another in-universe actor in the MCU. Related Next Marvel TV Show: All 11 Upcoming MCU Releases Confirmed Marvel Studios' most recent Disney+ series may have come to an end, but there are plenty of upcoming MCU TV shows in development. Though plot details are scarce at the moment, Broussard promised that Wonder Man is unlike any other Marvel project so far. One way the show has already set itself apart is with its 10-episode run, which is longer than the typical MCU Disney+ series. Wonder Man's head writer, Andrew Guest, is an experienced comedy writer, so this will likely be a funnier MCU show. This will make Wonder Man the second-longest series after Daredevil: Born Again. Wonder Man was originally set to release sometime in 2023 or 2024, though delays have made its actual release time uncertain now.
