New set photos from Superman (2025) offer fans a look at how Green Lantern’s DCU costume will look, leading to plenty of comparisons to past versions of the hero. It would also be fair to say the look proved immediately divisive, thanks to its changes to the costumes usually associated with the Lantern Corps in DC Comics.
It was confirmed that Nathan Fillion would be playing the Guy Gardner version of Green Lantern in the DCU’s upcoming Superman movie, formally introducing the character to the main canon universe. With production starting recently, a first look at Fillion’s Green Lantern costume has been released.
@clevelanddotcom posted set photos from Superman’s production in Cleveland featuring what looks to be a team-up of heroes.
Nathan Fillion's Green Lantern stands on the ground alongside David Corenswet's Superman, while Edi Gathegi's Mr. Terrific and Isabela Merced's Hawkgirl hang in the air. Rather than the famous green, Fillion’s jacket is mostly white with green accents, along with the Green Lantern logo on his belt and sleeve. Green Lantern and Mr. Terrific both have the Lordtech logo on their costumes, which has fueled theories that the heroes will operate together as the Justice League International.
