New DC Universe fan art brings several young actors into James Gunn's franchise as members of the Teen Titans. While 2023 is marking the end of the DCEU, it was also the conclusion for one of Max's long-running DC TV shows, as the Titans series finale wrapped up the gritty live-action adaptation of the popular DC team. With Gunn's DC Universe coming up, it is opening the door for new interpretations of various DC heroes and villains, including the Teen Titans.
While the Teen Titans may not be part of any of the upcoming DC Universe movies and TV shows that have been announced, the world is still imagining what the team might look like when and if they're brought into the franchise. For the upcoming continuity, Horrific Heroics shared several art pieces of various actors that they would cast for Gunn's Teen Titans in the DC Universe.
Best known for playing a young Bruce Wayne on FOX's Gotham, David Mazouz gets pitched by Horrific Heroics as playing Robin in the Teen Titans. On the Titans TV show, three Robins - Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, and Tim Drake - were all featured, played by Brenton Thwaites, Curran Walters, and Jay Lycurgo, respectively.
For Starfire, The Little Mermaid star Halle Bailey is imagined by Horrific Heroics as Koriand'r, who is one of the core members of the Teen Titans in the comics. In Titans, Starfire made her live-action debut, where she was played by Anna Diop.
Wednesday star Jenna Ortega brings Rachel Roth, a.k.a. Raven to life in the Teen Titans artwork by Horrific Heroics. This isn't the first time she has been suggested for Raven, with fans drawing a lot of similarities between the character and Ortega's Wednesday Addams.
Having played Eli Bradley, a young prospective hero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Horrific Heroics' Teen Titans fanart depicts Elijah Richardson as Victor Stone, a.k.a. Cyborg. On Doom Patrol, Joivan Wade played the character, while Ray Fisher portrayed the cinematic version in DCEU movies, including Zack Snyder's Justice League.
It actor Wyatt Oleff, who played the younger Stanley Uris in both movies, gets suggested by Horrific Heroics as Garfield Logan, a.k.a. Beast Boy. Ryan Potter was the first actor to play Beast Boy in Titans, being one of the original core cast members throughout all four seasons.
Another iconic DC character who has been part of the Teen Titans is Virgil Hawkins, a.k.a. Static, and in this scenario by Horrific Heroics, Stranger Things star Caleb McLaughlin is imagined as the popular hero. While he has yet to appear in live-action, Warner Bros. has been attempting to do a Static project, both as a TV show and, more recently, a movie.
