Superman & Lois Completely Rewrites One Of DC"s Most Beloved Man Of Steel Stories

WARNING: This article contains spoilers for Superman & Lois season 4, episode 3.Superman & Lois has just made a major change to one of the Man of Steel"s most important stories, and it can make season 4 even better. With only ten episodes this time around, Superman & Lois" final season has been a thrill ride, with one major event after the other. That stays true for episode 3 of the DC show, which featured multiple exciting twists and a dark fate for a beloved character. Michael Cudlitz"s Lex Luthor and Doomsday continue to be the most terrifying duo of villains that the Kent family has ever had to deal with.
Superman & Lois" season 3 ending put Tyler Hoechlin"s Kal-El up against Doomsday, who Lex Luthor created after experimenting on the show"s version of Bizarro. After their fight was cut short, Superman & Lois" season 4 two-episode premiere showed the final part of that enormous battle, with Doomsday killing Hoechlin"s Superman, surviving, and delivering his heart to Lex Luthor. Now, episode 3 of the show"s final season brings a major new step to Superman & Lois" version of "The Death of Superman" story from DC Comics, and there are key changes to how the show has adapted the iconic tale.
Superman & Lois' Death & Resurrection Plot Completely Changes The Original Comic Story The DC Series Ups The Drama Superman & Lois season 4 makes major changes to both the events that culminate in Superman"s death, as well as how the Man of Steel is resurrected. Like in the comics, Doomsday is responsible for killing Kal-El in Superman & Lois. However, both characters killed each other as they fought in front of the Daily Planet in DC Comics. The superhero series took a different turn, setting the final part of the duo"s battle on the moon and space, with Superman being killed by Doomsday while the monster lived and took Clark Kent"s heart to Lex Luthor.
