MCU Wonder Man Show Casts Marvel Villain Grim Reaper

The Wonder Man series for Disney+ has cast the Marvel Comics villain Grim Reaper. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is continuing to add new heroes and villains in the midst of its Multiverse Saga. One of the upcoming Marvel Studios original series coming to Disney+ is Wonder Man. Shang-Chi director Destin Daniel Cretton is attached as an executive producer alongside head writer Andrew Guest.
It appears Wonder Man has landed its potential big bad. In a new report from TVLine, Swagger star Demetrius Grosse has been tapped as Eric Williams, who is Wonder Man's brother. Marvel Comics readers will know Eric better as the villainous Grim Reaper. Marvel Studios and Disney+ have yet to comment on the story.
Who Is Marvel's Grim Reaper?

The Grim Reaper was created by Roy Thomas and John Buscema in May 1968. Eric first debuted in The Avengers #52 and has only had a handful of animated appearances outside the comics. The initial version of Grim Reaper had no superpowers as he used technological weapons. However, Eric ended up getting abilities as he could bring back the dead.
In the comics, Eric was regarded as the family's black sheep. It went as far as his mother even looking at Eric as being born bad. Instead, Simon, aka Wonder Man, was the golden child of the Williams family. Whether the Wonder Man TV show intends to include his whole family remains to be seen. Thus far, Grosse is the only new cast member to have joined the series outside Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. Ben Kingsley is the only returning MCU star in Wonder Man at this point.
Wonder Man will reportedly have a Hollywood focus, following Simon's life as an actor/stunt double. This would be one of Marvel Studios' most unique Disney+ shows, essentially with an Entourage angle. With Wonder Man reportedly filming later this year, time will tell what the show has in store for viewers.
