  • Taking its time to explore Lex's personality and appearance has been rewarding, with season 3 offering richer character details.
A new teaser at San Diego Comic-Con for My Adventures with Superman has shown a significant development for the DC Universe villain Lex Luthor. With My Adventures with Superman returning for season 3, it seems that much of the character development for the villain throughout the series may finally result in a more conventional version of the DC character. Lex Luthor has been fundamental to Superman stories throughout the decades; however, My Adventures with Superman has done an excellent job of building a varied and unique world that does not depend on the presence of Clark Kent's nemesis.
Seeing slow development since 2023 on the Lex Luthor character in the animated series has been a rich and rewarding experience. While Lex has not been the show's focal point, the series has done a great job of making him unique to other iterations of the same character. This made him beating Superman without breaking a sweat in a recent series episode especially unexpected and effective. The future for the character appears to be skewing closer and closer to his comic book origins, and reaching that point following all this development promises to be satisfying.
