LEGO Batman Meets Spider-Verse"s LEGO Spider-Man In DC And Marvel Crossover Movie Concept Trailer

A new concept trailer that crosses over the DC Universe with the Marvel Universe has appeared online, showing some major heroes of both franchises in LEGO form. Neither Marvel nor DC are strangers to LEGO crossovers; many members of the Justice League appeared in The LEGO Movie, and both they and the Avengers have received a slew of video games and movies, including one that features a Wolverine and Avengers crossover. There are also many LEGO playsets from either franchise. All of these character iterations are creative, and their use in a YouTube video is compelling.
LEGO Batman, star of The LEGO Batman Movie, and LEGO Spider-Man, who appeared in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, are imagined together in a fight throughout a dark city that appears to be Gotham in a new video shared on YouTube by LegoBricks Studio. In the video, the two heroes battle across a city built from LEGO. The scene is set to the score from The LEGO Batman Movie.
LegoBricks Studio, who describes themselves as a 12-year-old from Brazil named Vinícius, posts many such mashups on their channel, in addition to re-creating famous scenes from films in LEGO. YouTube users seem quite engaged with the post, with one commenter writing, "I’ve dreamt of a fight like this since I was little. I MEAN A FIGHT ON TOO OF THE BATWING?!?! Just as expected: peak."
Why A LEGO DC Vs Marvel Crossover Movie Might Be More Possible Than A Live-Action One The Tone Of The LEGO Films Could Make An Accessible And Satisfying Crossover Close Even Kevin Feige has talked about a DC and Marvel crossover, and a film where the two enormous brands interact may happen sometime in the future. However, the prospect of doing so in a way that would be satisfying to both studios and all viewers is difficult. Seeing iconic heroes face off together or against one another would be challenging, especially without favoring one side over the other. Doing this instead in a LEGO movie would be an effective way to circumvent many of these concerns.
LEGO movies are not especially serious. From the many films in the LEGO superhero worlds, one of the most important and consistent components is that the LEGO movies remain accessible to all audiences and all ages. Following this, much of the inherent pressure of doing a Marvel and DC crossover would be taken away. Funny, amusing caricatures of the iconic heroes that resemble Will Arnett"s take on LEGO Batman could be used to show creative interactions that feel true to the characters without taking themselves too seriously.
