While Deadpool's eyes are still animated, his mask's eyeholes are much smaller now. In fact, Deadpool's white eyes are visibly smaller than Wolverine's in Deadpool & Wolverine's third act. This size difference may have been intended to emphasize the comic accuracy of Wolverine's own mask, which sports large white animated eyes as well. Before Deadpool & Wolverine's release, Wolverine's mask became one of the most anticipated reveals of the whole movie due to its absence in every trailer and poster.

Deadpool and Deadpool 2 featured the former, and Deadpool & Wolverine featured the latter. Curiously, though, the latter appeared on a single poster for 2016's Deadpool.

After all, the TVA has pruned countless variants from all kinds of timelines for an indefinite amount of time, as seen in Loki seasons 1 and 2. Deadpool uses his new adamantium katanas to fight Wolverine in the Void, where he puts up a fight against Wolverine's adamantium claws and comes dangerously close to damaging Wolverine's adamantium skeleton. Deadpool's tiny knife also seems to be made up of the same material.

Although there are multiple different ways the MCU can present its version of the X-Men, the introduction of the MCU's adamantium might be a separate challenge altogether. The first Deadpool variant that Wolverine and Prime Deadpool meet on their quest to stop Cassandra Nova is Nicepool, a pacifist version of Deadpool with Wade Wilson's original appearance and a full head of blond hair. Against Wolverine's wishes, Deadpool takes advantage of Nicepool's generosity, using Nicepool as a human shield and stealing Dogpool from him, all before stealing his favorite gold-plated guns from his decapitated corpse. Wolverine disapproves of this despite the fact that he also contributes to the destruction of Nicepool's car.
