The Batman"s Mystery Spinoff Already Has The Perfect Main Character

Matt Reeves" The Batman universe seems to be adding another spinoff to its DC Elseworlds continuity, and its perfect protagonist has already been introduced. HBO"s The Penguin premieres on September 19, marking the second installment in Matt Reeves" The Batman franchise two years ahead of 2026"s The Batman - Part II. Although The Batman"s Gotham PD and Arkham Asylum spinoff shows were canceled in 2023, it seems like The Penguin won"t be the only series taking place in this continuity.
In an interview with TheDirect, The Batman and The Penguin producer Dylan Clark mentioned that he and Matt Reeves have new ideas about Sofia Falcone"s future after The Penguin, but that they "are all new ideas for her and have nothing to do with the other series that we"re continuing to do." Clark"s comments suggest that Matt Reeves" The Batman franchise won"t be limited to three movies and The Penguin and instead will include at least another spinoff series.
The Batman Clearly Set Up A Catwoman Spinoff The Batman's Ending Scene Sent Zoe Kravitz's Catwoman Off On Her Own Zoe Kravitz"s Catwoman is the ideal protagonist for The Batman"s second spinoff, as The Batman"s ending sequence set up Selina Kyle"s own story. After defeating the Riddler, Catwoman tries to convince Batman to leave Gotham with her "upstate, Bludhaven maybe..." and tells him they can both "knock off some CEO hedge fund types." Batman refuses, and Catwoman drives away on her motorcycle. Before Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle reunite on the big screen, Zoe Kravitz"s Catwoman could star in her own spinoff show set in Bludhaven.
