The 2020s Will Break A Major Live-Action Batman Record
The 2020s are set to break a major live-action Batman movie record. Batman has become synonymous with big-budget DC films as the Dark Knight has gone through different iterations over the years, portrayed by some of the best actors in Hollywood. It all started back when director Tim Burton decided to bring a darker angle to Bruce Wayne with 1989's Batman, taking the character away from the campy style of the TV show that starred Adam West in the role in the 1960s.
Burton's Batman movie started a worldwide fascination with the character, as audiences all over fell for the Batmania that erupted around the movie's release. While many wanted the original big-screen Batman actor, Michael Keaton, to continue in the role for a long time, the character was eventually recast after Warner Bros. decided to shift the gloomy tone of Burton's Gotham to a more family-friendly take on the story. After that, Batman would go on to be played by multiple actors over the years, as new creative teams put their own spin on the character. However, no decade will have had more live-action Batman actors in movies than the 2020s.
