Marvel Immediately Brings Deadpool & Wolverine"s Newest Variant Into Comic Canon, As KIDPOOL & SPIDER-BOY Makes Marvel History

One of Deadpool & Wolverine"s newest variants is immediately being introduced to Marvel canon, with the new series Kidpool & Spider-Boy. The impact of the MCU"s latest hit film, Deadpool & Wolverine, has been rippling across various mediums in the Marvel Universe; now, one of the film"s newest variants is preparing to make her comic debut as Kidpool teams up with a familiar Spider-Verse character.
As announced by Marvel Comics, Kidpool & Spider-Boy – written by Christopher Yost, with art by Nathan Stockman and more – is the comic book debut of Deadpool & Wolverine"s Kidpool. Played by Ryan Reynolds" daughter, Inez Reynolds, this variant of the Merc with a Mouth is as foul-mouthed as her adult counterpart, sporting water pistols and toy lightsabers to set herself apart.
Even though there are many things yet to be revealed about the book, the premise alone shows a lot of promise as these heroes team up for their first major adventure together.

The dynamic between Deadpool and Spider-Man has made them a fan-favorite duo, due to their opposite morals. Choosing to do the same with Kidpool by putting her with Spider-Boy, who has also just taken his place in Marvel canon, is a brilliant way to go about it. Plus, given how crude she is in the film, it"s the perfect way to introduce readers who might not have watched the movie yet to who she is, eliciting interest in her character even more.
What"s even better is that the teases Marvel leaves in their announcement shows that everything fans love about Spider-Man and Deadpool"s team-ups will be present in Kidpool and Spider-Boy. The advanced synopsis for the series series builds up the tension between both characters by asking:

"Will the Adolescent-Arachnid be able to keep the Murderous Middle-Grader from causing the return of the Comics Code? Unlikely! But Bailey is going to try!"

This is a fantastic way to establish that the hijinx and fourth-wall breaking shenanigans from Spider-Man and Deadpool"s stories will be found in this new series, making it a must-read for fans of their dynamic, which will be reflected in the adventures of these two new heroes.
Kidpool & Spider-Boy Hints Kidpool May Not Be Exactly The Same One From "Deadpool And Wolverine" Kidpool & Spider-Boy #1 – Variant Covers By Chris Campana, Paco Medina, & Todd Nauck Close The most interesting detail from Marvel"s description of the upcoming series is how it questions whether the Kidpool set to appear in the book will be the same as the one fans saw on the big-screen. The article states that "nothing is off-limits" after asking if "this all-new Kidpool [could] be the very same one from the multiverse-shattering movie." After all, the design is similar to the Deadpool variant, but that doesn"t necessarily mean that it"s the exact same one from the film.

Fans will be able to check out this brand-new series when Kidpool & Spider-Boy #1 hits stands on December 25, 2024. Kidpool has a lot of potential in Marvel"s comic canon, whether it"s annoying Spider-Boy in this new series or becoming part of the Young Avengers in the future.
