Picard Season 3 Debunks A Star Trek TNG Enterprise Theory

Warning: SPOILERS for Star Trek: Picard Season 3, Episode 6 - "The Bounty"The Fleet Museum in Star Trek: Picard season 3, episode 6 debunked a popular theory about Star Trek: The Next Generation's USS Enterprise-D. In Picard season 3, episode 6, "The Bounty," Admiral Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) ordered the USS Titan-A to Athan Prime, home of the Fleet Museum. Picard sought the help of Commodore Geordi La Forge (LeVar Burton), the former Chief Engineer of the USS Enterprise-D and E, as the Titan is being hunted by Starfleet ships taken over by Changelings.
The Galaxy-class USS Enterprise-D was destroyed in Star Trek Generations, and it was replaced by the Sovereign-class USS Enterprise-F for the remainder of the Star Trek: The Next Generation movies. The Enterprise-D was the beloved hero ship of TNG for all 7 seasons, and its destruction was a controversial move by TNG's producers, who wanted a new Enterprise spotlighted in the movies. The D's saucer section crashed on Veridian III after its stardrive section exploded from an attack by the Klingon Duras sisters. There were hopes that the Enterprise-D would be one of the starships seen in Star Trek: Picard season 3's Fleet Museum, but that didn't come to pass.
