Shazam 2 Director Responds To Bruce Campbell"s Roast Of DC Movie"s Box Office Failure

Shazam! Fury of the Gods director David F. Sandberg responds to Bruce Campbell roasting the DC movie's box office failure. The DCEU is getting closer to wrapping up in light of the new DC Universe. However, the franchise had a rough 2023 already with Shazam! Fury of the Gods. The DCEU sequel has struggled at the box office, both domestically and internationally. The Shazam! sequel has almost made back its budget, but is unlikely to turn a profit for Warner Bros. Discovery.
On Twitter, Sandberg reacted to Campbell roasting Shazam! Fury of the Gods' box office results.
The tweet includes two clips, one of them featuring Sam Raimi gushing about the first Shazam! movie. The second clip then goes to Campbell speaking to a crowd at an event, asking if they had seen the sequel. But when they said no, Campbell jokes, "Neither did anyone else!" The Evil Dead comment is referencing Raimi and Campbell's collaboration on the horror franchise.
