New Loki Season 2 Details Change Kang"s MCU Future Before Avengers 5

Loki season 2's official synopsis reveals how Marvel Studios changes Kang the Conqueror's (Jonathan Majors) fate before Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. Tom Hiddleston's beloved anti-hero is set to return on the small screen later this year for the sophomore year of his show. Loki season 1 finale pretty much sets up the events of its sequel, with a cliffhanger ending that effectively lays out the God of Mischief's next mission. That being said, Marvel Studios seems to have made some changes in Loki season 2, opting to slightly alter the focus of the series' upcoming outing as suggested by its new narrative brief.
As Loki season 2's release date nears, Marvel Studios is slowly starting to promote the Disney+ series. On top of the release of brief clips from the show, the official synopsis (via ComicBook) for the project has been rolled out. It reveals the God of Mischief's new mission, which primarily focuses on searching for Sylvie, Judge Renslayer, and Miss Minutes in the vast multiverse. Read it below:
"Along with Mobius, Hunter B-15 and a team of new and returning characters, Loki navigates an ever-expanding and increasingly dangerous multiverse in search of Sylvie, Judge Renslayer, Miss Minutes and the truth of what it means to possess free will and glorious purpose."

Loki Season 2's Official Synopsis Doesn't Mention Kang While looking for some familiar faces in an effort to make sense of the confusing multiverse sounds like a great plan, it's odd that the Loki season 2 synopsis opts to focus on this aspect of the show's storyline knowing full well that Kang the Conqueror is involved in the series. In fact, the Multiverse Saga's villain isn't even mentioned in the brief despite the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania post-credits scene clearly setting up Loki and Mobius' encounter with Victor Timely — a variant of Kang.
It's curious if this is a conscious decision on the part of Marvel Studios and Disney in light of Majors' ongoing legal woes. For what it's worth, the Loki season 1 ending effectively teases the Asgardian Prince's face-off with a more ruthless Kang variant following his encounter with He Who Remains. The Disney+ series has been believed to significantly move the villain's story forward before he ultimately battles Earth's Mightiest Heroes in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. It's worth noting, however, that Loki season 2 was already long done before Majors' recent controversies, so it's interesting if Marvel Studios changed anything in the show because of that.
