How DCU"s Perfect Batman Casting Choice Has Been Prepared By 2 DC Superhero Roles

Summary
  • Alan Ritchson has shown interest in playing Batman in the DC Universe.
  • Ritchson's experience as Aquaman and Hawk in previous DC roles could make him a fitting Batman.
  • With an imposing physique, acting skills, and love for the character, Ritchson is a strong candidate for the role.
The perfect actor to play Batman in the new DC Universe is no stranger to the franchise, with the star having been prepared by two previous DC roles to take on Bruce Wayne. After Ben Affleck was the Batman of the DCEU, the character will be recast for James Gunn's DCU, similarly to what happened with Henry Cavill being replaced as Superman with David Corenswet in the role. While there have been rumors about the Dark Knight's debut coming in Gunn's Superman, Batman will make his DCU debut in The Brave and the Bold reboot movie.
The Brave and the Bold will be directed by The Flash's Andy Muschietti, who oversaw Affleck's last time as Bruce, as well as the returns of previous Batman actors Michael Keaton and George Clooney in the DCEU's multiverse movie. The Batman reboot film will follow the introduction of Damian Wayne, with Bruce learning that he has a son. The Bat-Family will also appear in the film. With Batman's corner set to be an important part of the DC Universe's Chapter One, all eyes are on who will play the DCU's Batman, and a DC veteran could take on the role.
