Hulk Vs Wolverine Is Everything The MCU's Multiverse Should Be Delivering Close Jackman's Wolverine return is massive on a lot of levels, partially due to the fact that the world was convinced that 2017's Logan was the final time he would put on the claws as the iconic Marvel hero. The actor has even donned a comic book-accurate costume for Wolverine in Deadpool & Wolverine, drawing further fan hype as something thought previously impossible becomes reality. In this same vein, a concept like a potential Wolverine vs. Hulk clash is something that would massively benefit the franchise.
Having iconic characters like Wolverine and Hulk finally share the screen was something the MCU audience could only dream of for years when the X-Men rights were with 20th Century Fox. But now that the mutant mythology is fully part of Marvel Studios, there is no reason why The Multiverse Saga shouldn't embrace showdowns like Hulk vs. Wolverine down the line. It would also genuinely be interesting to see which of the two would actually end up victorious in this live-action Marvel landscape.
It's always possible that Hulk and Wolverine could have their battle as part of the Avengers: Secret Wars plot, which is likely going to be a big crossover across multiple Marvel franchises. It's hard to imagine Hugh Jackman not coming back for something like Avengers: Secret Wars, or even Avengers 5, as those films may be the final times he could actually play Wolverine, given that the MCU is said to go through a soft reboot in the future. But for now, the MCU crowd will have to wait and see whether or not Wolverine will ever take on Hulk on the big screen.
