As Gunn continues to keep the DC Universe audience updated through his social media accounts, a fan asked if the rumors about Pratt were true, which led to the DC Studios co-CEO saying, "I don’t even know what rumor you’re talking about." Once another fan explained that the rumor was about Gunn and Pratt having talks about the actor joining the DC Universe franchise, the filmmaker said the following:
