The New DCU Batman Movie Is More Exciting To Me Than The Batman 2 For One Major Reason

Summary
  • The Brave and the Bold will include the Bat-Family, adding depth to Batman's character and interactions.
  • The Batman - Part II should not feature Robin, with a Dick Grayson rumor debunked by James Gunn.
  • The DCU should aim to create a more comic-accurate Batman with unique stories, moving away from grounded interpretations.
I can't see The Batman - Part II using a key part of the character's mythos, which The Brave and the Bold is confirmed to focus on, and that makes me more excited about the new DC Universe's version of the Dark Knight than the sequel to The Batman. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of Matt Reeves' The Batman, and I'm interested in The Batman - Part II's story and whatever else the world has to offer, such as this year's The Penguin spinoff series. That said, The Brave and the Bold ranks a step above for me.
Your browser does not support the video tag. So far, the DCU still has to reveal who will be penning The Brave and the Bold's story or who will play the Dark Knight. That said, I'm confident that the movie will turn out great. While I had some problems with the DCEU's The Flash movie, I thought there was more good than bad in it, and all Batman/Bruce Wayne scenes were handled very well by director Andy Muschietti, who has been announced to helm the DCU's Batman reboot. I think the film is in good hands, and a revealed story detail makes me very excited about it.
