Tom Hardy's Venom movies have kept Sony's Spider-Man Universe running, with the franchise's other Marvel-based entries failing to meet the same level of success. Despite its name, the SSU still has to debut its version of Spider-Man or bring in one of the established live-action takes on the hero to serve that role. Venom: The Last Dance's story will bring the film series to a climactic ending, as the last Venom movie from Hardy.

2 SSU Theory: Venom Dies But Eddie Brock Lives The Venom: The Last Dance Trailer Sets Up A Dark Fate Close According to a new Venom: The Last Dance theory, the movie could end with Venom dying and Hardy's Eddie Brock being set up to embark on a major journey. The movie's first trailer had a very ominous tone, with Venom saying to Eddie at one point, "Eddie, the time has come." That line could hint that one or both of the characters will not make it out alive. The Venom 3 theory suggests only Venom will die, with Eddie Brock trying to find a way to the MCU after to bond with the piece of Venom left behind.

That movie's ending left Tom Holland's Spider-Man in a dark place. Peter Parker is now alone, with Doctor Strange's spell erasing him from the memory of his loved ones. That setup is perfect for Spider-Man to give in to the symbiote suit. Spider-Man's black suit is one of the hero's most iconic, and more often than not, when he wears the symbiote, Peter becomes a violent person who cannot control the darkness that surrounds him.
As the SSU's Venom is not really a villain, the character could have the goal of stopping Spider-Man and bonding with Venom again.

Why Spider-Man Meeting Venom In The MCU Makes More Sense Than The SSU There Are Many Reasons That Make The MCU A Better Choice Close The MCU is the best universe for Venom and Spider-Man to meet. Venom: The Last Dance is the final movie led by Hardy in the SSU. While his Eddie Brock and Holland's Spider-Man could come together in a future SSU movie, December's Kraven the Hunter is the only film confirmed for the SSU at the moment, which puts the franchise's future in check.
