Marvel Has Already Changed One Major Part Of Daredevil Before His Show

Summary
  • Daredevil will be returning to his classic red suit in Marvel's Echo, after briefly wearing a yellow and red suit in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. This change likely signifies a shift in tone and a return to the character's more serious and mature portrayal.
  • Echo, unlike She-Hulk, is expected to be a darker and more intense show, reflecting the character's brutal journey to break free from Wilson Fisk's influence. It makes sense for Daredevil to don his more serious costume in this context, aligning with the show's tone and the popularity of the Netflix version of the character.
  • There is a possibility that Daredevil could receive another new suit in his upcoming reboot series, Daredevil: Born Again, though hopefully his classic red look will remain intact with some minor upgrades. Marvel Studios has a history of changing costumes for future appearances, but it would be best to maintain the familiarity and success of Daredevil's previous iteration.
Matt Murdock will be experiencing a major change ahead of his upcoming MCU show Daredevil: Born Again. As seen in the brand-new trailer for Marvel's Echo, Daredevil is confirmed to appear in the upcoming show set to release January 10th. However, this will come with a significant change compared to his last appearance in Marvel's She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.
Played by actor Charlie Cox, Matt Murdock first appeared in Netflix's Daredevil which ran for three seasons but was later canceled with the end of Marvel Television thanks to the emergence of Disney+. However, Murdock did return as Peter Parker's lawyer in 2021's Spider-Man: No Way Home as well in 2022's She-Hulk: Attorney where he returned as Daredevil, teaming up with Jennifer Walters (while also becoming a romantic interest). However, Daredevil's next appearance in Echo is coming with an exciting change, one that will likely continue heading into his rebooted series Daredevil: Born Again.
Daredevil Already Has A New Costume In The MCU From Yellow Back to Classic Red In Marvel's She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Daredevil returned to the MCU wearing a brand-new costume. Resembling Daredevil's very first costume in the original comics, the new suit was predominantly yellow with red being a secondary color. This was opposed to more well-known all red costume he wore in his Netflix show and most frequently on the page. Having been designed by LA fashion designer Luke Jacobson specializing in super-suits, Daredevil's new suit helped explained Murdock's presence on the West Coast as opposed to New York and Hell's Kitchen. Likewise, representing Luke in court also brought him in contact with Jennifer Walters, herself a lawyer by day as well.
However, it looks as though Daredevil will be returning to his all red suit in Marvel's Echo. There's a brief shot in the trailer where Murdock is seen fighting the titular Maya Lopez, most likely due to her connection with Wilson Fisk's Kingpin (Vincent D'onofrio), Murdock's greatest enemy. As such, it certainly looks as though the yellow and red suit was simply a one-off for the MCU.
