Geordi Should Be A Star Trek Admiral After Picard Season 3

As one of the clear MVPs in Star Trek: Picard season 3, Commodore Geordi LaForge (LeVar Burton) helped save the galaxy from the Borg, which should be enough to earn him a promotion to Admiral. Since his introduction in the first season of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Geordi LaForge has been a fan favorite and an integral part of the Star Trek family. La Forge has, in his own way, been as much of a "miracle worker" as Star Trek: The Original Series' Scotty (James Doohan).
Geordi rose quickly through the ranks while serving on the Enterprise-D with Captain Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart), and helped get the crew out of many dangerous situations. As the chief engineer of the Enterprise, he often had to think on his feet and come up with unorthodox solutions to problems. Since his time on the Enterprise, Geordi has risen to the rank of Commodore, but his ingenuity and passion for engineering are still apparent. Without Geordi's help with their mission and his foresight in rebuilding the original Enterprise-D, Picard and his friends would not have been able to defeat the Borg.
Why Geordi Deserves An Admiral Promotion in Picard Season 3 Not only did Geordi rebuild the ship that ultimately saved the galaxy, he also proved vital in the mission to rescue his friends from Daystrom Station. At first, Geordi resists helping out of concern for the safety of his two daughters, Alandra (Mica Burton) and Sydney (Ashlei Sharpe Chestnut), but he eventually relents, in part because of Alandra and Sydney's interference. His initial reluctance should make Geordi an even better candidate to become an Admiral in the eyes of Starfleet. While the higher-ups at Starfleet seem to put up with occasional rule-breaking, they likely don't want Admirals who are too eager to break the rules. Geordi thinks through every decision he makes, and this careful deliberation is one of the things that would make him a great Admiral.
