Marvel Finally Set Up 1 Of The MCU"s Most Exciting Upcoming Releases For The First Time In 3 Years

Agatha All Along has explored some interesting paths in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the most recent episode of the series has finally set up the continued adventures of one of Marvel"s greatest heroes. As is exemplified by the ending of Agatha All Along episode 6, the latest episode of the show focused predominantly on Billy Maximoff, unveiling how he was able to take over the body of William Kaplan. This path leads to an exciting future for the character, which sends him on a mission of his own with Agatha and her coven.
Over the course of Agatha All Along, viewers, have been concerned with the potential return of Scarlet Witch. While the current status of Scarlet Witch in the MCU has declared her to be dead, the same could have been true of Billy Maximoff. This has led to great intrigue concerning what the heroes of the show will find at the end of The Witches" Road. While Scarlet Witch"s return or the appearance of Tommy Maximoff may await them there, another integral hero has been addressed in the most recent episode of the series.
Agatha All Along Finally Remembers Vision Vision Is An Important Part Of Billy's Story Close Billy Maximoff"s father has not been addressed much over the course of this series, and it is exciting to see their full family dynamic remembered with the memory of Vision. In the latest episode, William Kaplan goes on a journey to try and uncover the mystery of Westview, and to piece back together who he is. This leads to discussions of Vision and Wanda, as well as the Hex that had been placed over the entire town, with the episode even leading to the MCU return of Ralph Bohner.
Discussing all of the details of WandaVision and the familiar links that remain reminds viewers of the importance of Vision in the dynamic of this family. While Wanda"s children were conjured, there was an element of Vision that remained in their souls, even if it was only a constructed version of that same hero made from Wanda"s memories of and connection to him. Seeing components of this in the latest episode is a key nod to the importance of Vision to Billy and Tommy, setting things up for the franchise"s future.
How Vision's Absence Will Be Addressed In The MCU's Future Vision Is Set To Recieve His Own MCU Series Close The ending of WandaVision saw Vision being destroyed and the new White Vision taking on his memories in the MCU. Marvel has been working for some time on a follow-up series that is often referred to as Vision Quest, although the series is currently officially untitled. This series is set to feature an MCU Ultron return, and has been said to be the third part of a trilogy of shows, following WandaVision and Agatha All Along.
How much Vision will be connected to Billy Maximoff remains to be seen. Billy is not the physical offspring of Vision and Wanda, and even if he was, this White Vision is not the same as the original, despite having all of his memories. This will likely be addressed in some capacity, as it will be interesting to examine the relationship between Billy and a figure who he may still consider to be his father. If Scarlet Witch does not return, exploring the family dynamic in this way feels inevitable.
Related Marvel Just Retconned WandaVision's Post-Credits Scene, & Made Scarlet Witch's Fall Even More Tragic The latest episode of Agatha All Along effectively recontextualizes Wanda’s descent into villainy over the course of WandaVision and Doctor Strange 2.
Vision has been an important part of the MCU since he debuted in Avengers: Age of Ultron, and it does not appear that he will be going away soon. Despite multiple deaths, a version of Vision will continue to tell stories in the universe, and it appears increasingly likely that the events of Agatha All Along will impact them. With more stories to tell, it is an exciting prospect to think of Billy"s place in the Marvel Universe and the dynamic he may share with a man who both is and is not his father.
