The Flash Movie Insults The MCU & Endgame To Explain DC"s New Multiverse

Warning! This post contains SPOILERS for The Flash
The Flash introduces the concept of the DCU's multiverse with a joke at the MCU and Avengers: Endgame's expense. Featuring Ezra Miller's Barry Allen who races back in time to undo his mother's murder, The Flash inadvertently breaks his universe and threatens the entire multiverse at large in the process. However, the movie's explanation of the multiverse and how time travel works come with a bit of a dig at the MCU.
After Barry Allen alters events in the past to save his mother, it massively affects the entire universe as a whole with disastrous consequences. Characters and events become altered in ways Flash could have never predicted outside his desired outcome with his parents. Thanks to Michael Keaton's Batman who replaces Ben Affleck's Dark Knight thanks to Barry's actions, the MCU is also targeted with a not-so-subtle joke directed at its own multiverse construction.
