Kang Looms Over Oscar Isaac"s MCU Hero In Moon Knight Season 2 Art

Summary
  • Moon Knight season 2 might feature Kang the Conqueror variant Rama-Tut as the villain, as depicted in new fan art shared on Instagram.
  • Jonathan Majors debuted as Rama-Tut in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania's mid-credits scene, making Moon Knight season 2 a perfect opportunity to further develop this character.
  • While there is no official confirmation, the cast and crew of Moon Knight season 1 have expressed optimism for a sequel season, and recent changes in Marvel Studios' plans for its Disney+ shows may open up the possibility for Moon Knight season 2.
One of Kang the Conqueror's villainous variants is imagined as the villain for Moon Knight season 2 in dark new MCU fan art. Oscar Isaac debuted as Marc Spector in Phase 4's Moon Knight on Disney+, and also portrayed Spector's alters, Steven Grant and Jake Lockley. Having struck a deal with the Egyptian god Khonshu, mercenary Spector became the superpowered Moon Knight, unbeknownst to his other selves. Moon Knight is one of the most popular projects to be released in the MCU's Phase 4, and there have been calls for a second season since its 2022 release, but Marvel Studios hasn't yet confirmed the development of Moon Knight season 2.
Despite there being no official confirmation from Marvel Studios, theories have been rife regarding the continuation of Marc Spector's story in Moon Knight season 2, with perhaps the most popular theory placing Kang the Conqueror variant Rama-Tut as the series' villain. Moon Knight season 2's Ancient Egyptian Pharaoh Rama-Tut has been depicted in new fan art shared by digital_fz, which shows the villain looming over Marc Spector's Moon Knight.
Jonathan Majors debuted as Rama-Tut in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania's mid-credits scene, yet the variant hasn't been seen or heard from since. Moon Knight season 2 may be the perfect place to further develop this enigmatic Kang the Conqueror variant.

Will Moon Knight Season 2 Happen? Close Previously, it was expected that Moon Knight may be a limited series along the same lines as WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, as Marvel Studios had always stuck by the idea that Loki would be the only Disney+ series to receive two seasons. However, Marvel Studios has recently confirmed a major overhaul of the MCU's Disney+ shows, which could see more shows receive follow-up seasons, and this may include Moon Knight. The cast and crew of Moon Knight season 1 have always stayed optimistic that a sequel season could be developed, so it's possible that Oscar Isaac could don the Moon Knight costume in the MCU's future.
Following a tease at Rama-Tut in Moon Knight season 1, and the villain's actual debut in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, it's likely that he would be featured as the villain for Moon Knight season 2. That is, of course, if Marvel Studios decides to continue to develop Kang the Conqueror ahead of 2026's Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, which has recently seen some major crew changes. Recent rumors suggest Marvel Studios may be moving away from Kang, which would create the opportunity for a different villain to face Marc Spector in Moon Knight season 2, though only time will tell if the season actually gets put into development.
