Venom 3 Set Videos Reveal Tom Hardy"s Return & Tease Follow-Up To MCU Crossover

Tom Hardy"s Eddie Brock can be seen in a new set video from the upcoming Venom 3, with behind-the-scenes photos from the character"s trilogy finale revealing some interesting details from the movie. Hardy will play Eddie in his third solo outing, with the Venom franchise proving itself very lucrative to Sony"s Spider-Man Universe. Per Box Office Mojo, 2018"s Venom finished its run with $856 million at the worldwide box office, while 2021"s Venom: Let There Be Carnage managed to achieve $506.8 million in a pandemic-affected box office. Sony plans to continue that streak with the anticipated Venom 3.On Twitter, @Almupg80 and @QuidVacuo shared a set video and photos from the upcoming Venom 3. Hardy can be seen as Eddie Brock in the set video, with the character walking while seemingly talking to Venom. The set photos reveal some interesting details from the film, with its Mexico setting confirmed to include the celebration of the Day of the Dead (Día de Muertos). How Venom 3 Continues On From Venom 2 & Spider-Man: No Way Home

While Sony"s Spider-Man Universe carries the hero"s name, the Marvel character has yet to appear. Well, he did technically show up in Venom: Let There Be Carnage"s post-credit scene, but Tom Holland"s Spider-Man from the Marvel Cinematic Universe did not cross over to the SSU, with Hardy"s Venom being transported into the MCU for the post-credits scene instead.
Venom: Let There Be Carnage"s post-credit scene continued from the point in the movie where Eddie Brock and Venom were enjoying themselves at a beach in Mexico after having defeated Carnage, showing Hardy"s character back in his room, being transported to the MCU and seeing Holland"s Spider-Man at the TV. Then, Spider-Man: No Way Home saw Eddie Brock learn from a bartender about the MCU"s history before being sent back to Sony"s Spider-Man Universe prior to having the chance to meet Holland"s Spider-Man.
While it is not known if Holland"s Spider-Man will appear in Venom"s trilogy finale, the move would surely help Venom 3"s box office battle with DC"s Joker: Folie à Deux. Even if Spider-Man does not appear in Venom 3, the film will at least be continuing on from Eddie"s multiversal travels in Venom: Let There Be Carnage and Spider-Man: No Way Home, with the set photos and video revealing that Venom 3"s setting for at least a part of the movie will be Mexico — where he was in the previous two films — during the Día de Muertos holiday, as Venom 3 follows the franchise"s MCU crossover.
