Superman Theory Reveals Gunn"s Reboot Sets Up 5 More Movies & Shows

Superman: Legacy, DC’s upcoming Superman reboot, could secretly set up multiple upcoming DC Universe movies and shows. Directed by James Gunn, Superman: Legacy premiers in 2025 as the first movie in DC Studios’ new DC Universe. Though not much is known about Superman: Legacy’s cast or plot, Gunn has confirmed that the film will not be an origin story. Still, it will be the first major entry in DC’s Chapter 1: Gods and Monsters, meaning that Gunn’s Superman film will set the stage for the rest of the announced slate.
The DC Universe’s Chapter 1 includes live-action movies, shows, and animated series in an ambitious slate that will feature both A-list and lesser-known DC Comics characters. Similar to how the previous DCEU started with a Superman reboot, Man of Steel, “Gods and Monsters”’ first movie entry will be a Superman film.
