Jodie Comer has finally addressed rumors that she has been cast in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's
Fantastic Four reboot. The upcoming film is currently set to hit theaters in 2026 as a part of the MCU's Phase 6, the final chapter of the Multiverse Saga. Helmed by WandaVision director Matt Shakman, the film will introduce the members of Marvel's First Family to the MCU. As the casting process takes place behind closed doors, Comer's name is one that has often come up in regard to the character of Sue Storm, a.k.a. the Invisible Woman. For the first time, the actress has actually addressed such rumors.
About to make her Broadway debut in Prima Facie, Comer was recently interviewed by Happy Sad Confused host Josh Horowitz. When Horowitz brought up the recent rumors about her future career with Marvel, Comer had this to say:
“No, guys, I don’t know anything about it. I feel like when I say this people are like, ‘Okay…’ It’s like, you can’t win either way... I think, 'Never say never...' I think, as I said before, like usually when you finish one project, you then want to try something very different, so I don’t know, maybe.”
The Killing Eve actress also claimed to have not met with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige about the role, though she herself acknowledges that her denials mean nothing to audiences in the current era of MCU discourse.
