Daredevil: Born Again will include the return of an important Daredevil feature that was missing from season 3 of the Netflix series. Daredevil's MCU return has gone through a lengthy and confusing development process. While Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio were attached to the new series early on, it was unclear if it was a continuation of the Netflix series. Last year, it was announced that much of the series had been scrapped in favor of what worked with Netflix's Daredevil. Marvel's decision was smart, as audiences loved the Netflix series and were disappointed about the show's cancelation after three seasons. The MCU timeline can expand the darker, street-level universe while continuing, and improving, what audiences liked from the original show. Marvel showed footage for Daredevil: Born Again at D23, featuring the same gritty tone and intense violence that viewers expected. However, it also included an exciting reveal for Daredevil's character that brings back something missing from Netflix's final season.

Matt Murdock Will Wear Multiple Daredevil Outfits In Daredevil: Born Again

The D23 footage for Daredevil: Born Again included multiple looks at Matt Murdock in the iconic Daredevil outfit. However, one moment showed that the series features several suit variations. In the trailer, Matt opens up his armory, which includes five Daredevil helmets. The helmets are different colors, and feature several shades that haven't been worn by the live-action hero on-screen before, including black and silver. Footage of Matt in the suit only shows him in the classic red costume, but this indicates his Daredevil appearance could change throughout the show.
Since Matt returned to the MCU in Spider-Man: No Way Home, he has worn the suit twice. He wore the red outfit in Echo, but Daredevil's She-Hulk costume was a throwback to old Daredevil comic books. He wore a gold and red outfit, a reference to the first costume Daredevil ever wore in the comics. Audiences had mixed reactions toward his "ketchup and mustard" suit, but Matt's new look reminded viewers that Daredevil has more looks outside of his standard red suit.
Matt Never Wore The Suit In Daredevil: Season 3 Close Daredevil's helmets are significant because it means Marvel is making up for a poor decision by Netflix, as in Daredevil season 3, Matt never wore the Daredevil suit. After the events of The Defenders, Matt became disillusioned with God and felt he no longer represented what the suit stood for. He abandoned the suit and wore the homemade costume from season 1, an all-black, light-weight outfit with a bandanna. However, Bullseye wore a replica Daredevil suit, using it to commit crimes and murders and frame Daredevil in the process.
Even though Daredevil has worn the suit since, Daredevil: Born Again will be the first time he has worn the suit for a full season of television since Daredevil season 2. D23 showed him fighting in the Daredevil suit, and it looks like he'll be more vicious than before. It's great to see Matt wear the suit again, and it'll be interesting to see how the series potentially changes his outfit throughout the season.
