Summary
- OB from Loki, played by Ke Huy Quan, steals every scene with his expert comic relief and lovable oddball personality. Bringing him to the big screen would inject whimsy into any project he's in.
- Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk from She-Hulk: Attorney At Law deserves a second chance to showcase her superhero abilities in a movie, especially as part of Wong's potential Avengers team. Her character deserves recognition in the pantheon of Marvel heroes.
- Kate Bishop from Hawkeye is a perfect fit for the upcoming Young Avengers project and has already proven herself by holding her own in combat. Her enthusiastic and heroic nature makes her a great addition to the big screen and opens up endless possibilities for team-ups and battles.
The
Marvel Cinematic Universe has had some truly spectacular television projects, but as viewership of their Disney+ ventures declines, there are some standout characters that deserve to be seen on the big screen. The television series' are a great way to explore more individual character stories, but
the pay-off of a truly interconnected MCU needs to happen on film. As such, characters that currently exist solely in the shows often don't get the recognition they would from movies — something that needs to change.
The TV arm of the Marvel cinematic timeline opened up in Phase 4, with the ingenious genre-bending WandaVision. 10 Marvel shows later, the small-screen side of Marvel's universe has spawned some colorful, interesting, engaging, characters. Somewhat inevitably, the question of when they will get to step up to "mainline" projects - i.e. movies - appears whenever a character gains significant traction. From beloved supporting characters to emerging superheroes, or menacing villains, here are some of the best MCU TV show characters who deserve to appear in upcoming MCU movies.
Related Every MCU TV Show Ranked Worst To Best From WandaVision to She-Hulk, from Loki to Ms. Marvel, the MCU's Disney+ TV shows have been hits - but how do they all compare to one another? 10 Ouroboros/OB From Loki Played By Ke Huy Quan Close Ke Huy Quan's portrayal of the eccentric genius
OB is arguably the highlight of Loki season 2. The Time Variance Authority (TVA) Repairs and Advancement agent steals every scene he's in, while his expertise on the Temporal Loom is essential to the success of Loki's (Tom Hiddlestone) mission. Quan delivers comic relief expertly while remaining a wholesome and lovable oddball.
While the character exists in a supporting capacity and is entrenched in the world of the TVA — central to Loki and unexplored entirely by any big-screen MCU project — it would be a shame not to see him in a larger capacity. OB does not need to star in his own movie, but any film he's in would benefit greatly from Quan's performance. Bringing OB to the large screen would inject a bit of whimsy into any project he's in — as long as he isn't relegated to solely comic relief.
9 Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk From She-Hulk: Attorney At Law Played By Tatiana Maslany Close She-Hulk: Attorney At Law may not receive a second season, but that doesn't mean the MCU should just abandon the character. Admittedly, the procedural-style of the series is better suited to television than film. However, with a superhero like Jennifer Walters, it's just a matter of time before there's a threat large enough to warrant her presence in a movie.
Wong's (Benedict Wong) potential Avengers team, for instance, would be a prime opportunity to include She-Hulk. Given the review bombing and general undeserved backlash to this project,
the character deserves a second chance to carve her place in the pantheon of Marvel heroes. If there is to be no season 2, at least let She-Hulk's journey continue elsewhere.
Related 10 Reasons She-Hulk Season 2 Should Happen Despite Being The MCU's Most Divisive TV Show Tatiana Maslany recently suggested She-Hulk: Attorney at Law won't get a season 2, but there are several reasons why the series should be continued. 8 Bruno Carrelli From Ms. Marvel Played By Matt Lintz
When The Marvels released, the plucky Kamala Khan's (Iman Vellani) geeky and loyal best friend was sorely missed. Although Bruno seems to have no place as a major player in the larger narrative the MCU is building toward, future films involving Ms. Marvel can only benefit from his presence — if only for a brief cameo.
The character is deeply important to Ms. Marvel and plays a huge role in her origin, and thus deserves some acknowledgment.
It's also interesting to note Bruno's skills with science and technology as a primary characteristic. The MCU has had its fair share of scientists, with Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo), and Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), to name a few, and Bruno's interests aren't all that different from Stark's protégé, Spider-Man (Tom Holland). Perhaps there's a more significant place in the MCU for young Bruno as well?
7 Kate Bishop From Hawkeye Played By Hailee Steinfeld Close While Kate Bishop has technically already made a movie appearance in The Marvels, the MCU clearly has bigger plans for her. Her time on Hawkeye sets her up as Clint Barton's successor, and
Kamala Khan's proposition for a team of younger heroes is the perfect place for Kate to make her true big screen debut. The possibilities are endless for Kate Bishop's superhero team-ups and battles.
Kate has already proven herself after holding her own in combat with Wilson Fisk's Kingpin (Vincent D'Onofrio). She's young, enthusiastic, and heroic without the cynicism of the older Avengers. In short, she's a perfect fit for the MCU's upcoming Young Avengers project, which she's also seemingly attached to.
6 Layla El-Faouly/Scarlet Scarab From Moon Knight Played By May Calamawy
While Moon Knight might be all about the dual personas of its titular character, the true superhero to emerge from the show is definitely Layla El-Faouly's Scarlet Scarab. The archaeologist-turned-Avatar of the goddess Tawaret is the first Egyptian superhero in the MCU. A scene in the Moon Knight series finale reinforces just how important this representation is when a young girl looks up at Layla in awe and asks if she is, indeed, an Egyptian superhero.
Besides the representation, Scarlet Scarab is just an exciting new superhero all around, and it does her a disservice to constrain her story to her relationship with her ex-husband, Marc Spector (Oscar Isaac). The Moon Knight season finale gives viewers just a brief taste of what she is capable of.
This is a superhero that definitely has the power and presence required of the big screen — and she certainly deserves to be there.

Nothing has been confirmed about the future of the character, but the show's popularity must surely be capitalized on. Both Marc Spector and his alter, Steven Grant, are compelling characters on their own, but add in their complex relationship with the god Khonshu and the resulting powers, and you get some serious movie material.
While a team-up or partnership might be fun, this is a character that is especially suited to a solo film. This is largely due to the representation of mental health and dissociative identity disorder (DID) that any Moon Knight project would need to address. With a character like Moon Knight, an exploration of inner turmoil and sense of self is paramount, but if the studio can execute this, there is no reason why a Moon Knight film can't succeed.
Related 10 Things Moon Knight Season 2 Needs To Have If It Happens Although Moonknight season 2 remains unconfirmed, there are several plotlines and arcs that should be explored if the hero returns for another outing. 4 Mobius From Loki Played By Owen Wilson Close Committed TVA agent Mobius' partnership with Loki is yet another highlight of the series. The actors have a chemistry that's hard to come by and shouldn't be squandered.
The Variant ended his arc in Loki season 2 by retiring from the TVA to find his place on the timeline.
While this can function as a bittersweet send-off for the character, it would be a missed opportunity to have him never return in some form. It would be interesting to see a version of Mobius that knows a life outside the TVA return to weigh in on multiverse-threatening events. At the very least, a reunion with Loki is certainly due.
3 Agatha Harkness From WandaVision Played By Kathryn Hahn Close What WandaVision fan didn't find themselves humming "Agatha All-Along" for weeks after the reveal of Agatha Harkness as the show's villain?
The witch is returning to the screen this year in the series Agatha: Darkhold Diaries, but the character is too powerful to remain just on television. The end of WandaVision finds Agatha stripped of her powers and confined to the WestView anomaly.
Nonetheless, Agatha's apparent imminent release from this punishment in the upcoming series brings about endless possibilities for her role in the MCU's future. Kathryn Hahn shined in this role, and any more Agatha content at all is more than welcome. The witch's dark magic is sure to cause chaos that could impact the larger narrative of the MCU.
Related MCU Theory Explains Why Agatha Harkness' Spinoff Is So Important The MCU's Phase 5 will see Agatha Harkness break free from the Scarlet Witch's spell, which could start several new storylines for the MCU's future. Agatha: Darkhold Diaries is currently slated for release on September 19th, 2024.
2 Maya Lopez From Echo Played By Alaqua Cox Close The MCU's most recent superhero, Maya Lopez, is intriguing for many reasons. The representation of a Native American, deaf, and paraplegic superhero is incredible, especially because of the care taken by Echo to embrace and lovingly handle the topics of culture and disability. Naturally, this legacy should only continue on larger MCU projects.
While Echo serves as a strong origin story for Lopez, viewers have yet to see her become a "hero," having emerged from under Kingpin's thumb. The show has her overcome her inner demons and a lifetime of trauma, leaving her future as a superhero wide open. Her powers, although formidable, have yet to be thoroughly explored, creating the perfect opportunity for a film to do so.
Related 10 Indigenous Marvel Characters Perfect To Join The MCU After Echo Echo has opened the doors for Indigenous representation in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Here are more iconic characters for future MCU projects. 1 Wilson Fisk/Kingpin From Echo, Hawkeye, & Daredevil Played By Vincent D'Onofrio Close There's a good chance that Kingpin may become the next Thanos-level villain of the MCU, especially given the issues surrounding Jonathan Majors' Kang the Conqueror. Although a street-level crime boss, Kingpin is by far one of the most compelling Marvel villains to grace the screen, due in large part to Vincent D'Onofrio's stellar performance. His instability and rage are juxtaposed against his total control over his empire and well-manicured appearance to make him an enigmatic and enthralling villain.
Given his notably leveled-up power in Hawkeye, viewers can expect a different take on Wilson Fisk's Kingpin, one that may just have what it takes to become the biggest new threat in the
MCU. In addition, Kingpin is known to be an opponent of Spider-Man, which would make the next Spidey installment the perfect place for his film debut. The villain has yet to disappoint and is bound for bigger and better projects.
