Sean Gunn Teases Weasel & GI Robot Roles In DC"s Creature Commandos

Sean Gunn teases exciting new details about GI Robot and Weasel in the animated DC series Creature Commandos. Creature Commandos was one of the first projects announced as part of DC's Chapter One: Gods & Monsters. Created and written by James Gunn Creature Commandos will follow a black ops team made up of monsters from the DC Universe. The team, put together by Amanda Waller, will include Rick Flag Sr., Doctor Phosphorus, Nina Mazursky, Eric Frankenstein, the Bride of Frankenstein, G.I. Robot, and Weasel.
In an exclusive interview with Screen Rant about Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Gunn also teased the upcoming DC animated series Creature Commandos. He gave insight into his new character, GI Robot, and shared that more will be revealed about Weasel after his debut in The Suicide Squad. Check out Gunn's full quote below:

Sean Gunn: I love Creature Commandos. I don't know how much I can share without violating some kind of NDA, but I love the project. I can't wait for audiences to see it. We've been working on it already. I play two characters. I don't know how James keeps slipping me into two characters. He's helping employ me, for sure.
But I play The Weasel, who we've all seen already in Suicide Squad, who does a lot of grunting and so on. I also play this really cool character named GI Robot, who is a robot built in the World War II era who just hates Nazis more than anything. And that's something I hope that we can all relate to; hating Nazis.
[Weasel] is the same character [from The Suicide Squad]. I don't know how much I can divulge, but we'll learn a little more about Weasel in Creature Commandos, which is fun.

Creature Commandos Proves James Gunn's DCU Can Still Connect To Past DC Films Gunn will be able to bring two fantastically different characters to life in Creature Commandos: GI Robot, the Nazi-hating World War II creation, and Weasel. Weasel was briefly featured in The Suicide Squad, and though he seemed to die early on in the movie, it was revealed that he was actually one of the few from the first group to survive. Creature Commandos has direct ties to The Suicide Squad with Amanda Waller, Weasel, and Rick Flag Sr.
