The Penguin is getting reimagined for the Batman: Caped Crusader TV show as the creative team behind the DC series reveals their new vision. The Dark Knight is returning to the small-screen in the world of animation, as J.J. Abrams, The Batman's Matt Reeves, and Batman: The Animated Series creator Bruce Timm are joining forces for Batman: Caped Crusader.
Batman: Caped Crusader made its San Diego Comic-Con debut this year with the cast and creative team present to promote the upcoming Prime Video series. One of the big new details revealed for the animated Batman show was a big change for one of the most iconic villains in Bruce Wayne's mythology. After previously being announced as part of the Batman: Caped Crusader cast, Minnie Driver has officially been revealed to be voicing Oswalda Cobblepot, a.k.a. a female version of The Penguin.
