Loki creator Michael Waldron is returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as he will write the script for Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. One of the MCU movies that have been facing problems is Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, despite being set to be one of the bigger projects in The Multiverse Saga. Initially slated for May 2025, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty got pushed back to 2026, as it became one of the movies to be affected by this year's Writers Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA Strikes.
According to Deadline, Loki creator Michael Waldron is returning to the franchise, as he has been hired to write the Avengers: The Kang Dynasty script. The move comes after the conclusion of Loki season 2, which was met with overwhelmingly positive praise. Deadline is also adding that Waldron will be writing the screenplay for Avengers: Secret Wars, stating that "Waldron had already been set to write the installment that would follow Kang Dynasty and will now write both films."
