Fazli will be the first Afghan-born American actor in a Superman movie, and this could be his biggest role ever, as Fazli has consistently been featured in small roles, often as Taliban soldiers. While Fahim Fazli is far from the biggest name cast in the DCU's Superman reboot, his debut could have a huge impact on the franchise's subsequent projects.

Fahim Fazli will be the first, and only, actor to appear in the first movies of both the MCU and the DCU. Fazli has supposedly been cast as "Jarhanpurian Villager Leader" in Superman, the first movie of the rebooted DC Universe, but he previously appeared in the small role of Omar in 2008's Iron Man, Marvel Studios' first project of the MCU. No other actor currently cast in Superman also appeared in Iron Man.
