Superman & Lois"s New Jonathan Kent Actor Opens Up About Recast

Superman & Lois's new Jonathan Kent actor, Michael Bishop, opens up about the Arrowverse recasting. The Arrowverse has a new Jonathan this season on Superman & Lois. Bishop debuted this month as Jonathan, replacing Jordan Elsass. This isn't the first time the Arrowverse has had to do some major recasting.
Bishop, who got cast in September 2022, recently spoke about his experience of joining the Arrowverse. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Bishop talked about the recasting of Jonathan Kent while taking over for Elsass. For the Australian star, it was important not to copy what Elsass had already done with the character. For Bishop, it was key to stay true to the character, as he shared the following thoughts on the matter:

Well, I wasn't trying to copy anything that was done before. I wanted to stay true to the character that had been built by the previous actor, but I also wanted to find what was different about my Jon and just played him how I felt he should be played, with the incredible foundations that was built by Jordan.
