The entire TV model of the Marvel Cinematic Universe from Marvel Studios is going through an overhaul following multiple behind-the-scenes issues that have affected recent Disney+ shows. Following the release of Avengers: Endgame and the transition between the Infinity Saga and Multiverse Saga, Marvel Studios began implementing TV shows as a storytelling method for their sprawling MCU. While this started out promisingly with WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Loki, the shows quickly began showing worrying signs from behind-the-scenes issues to the overall way in which they were produced.
Following these issues, The Hollywood Reporter states that Marvel Studios has opted for an entire overhaul of its TV model. In light of the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes of 2023, the studio had the opportunity to view upcoming Disney+ Marvel shows. THR reports that Marvel is unhappy with the state of various upcoming shows which has resulted in changes to writes and directors of productions like Daredevil: Born Again in favor of an entire overhaul of the MCU's TV slate. By hiring showrunners and head writers to oversee pilots and show bibles, the MCU will revert to the more traditional TV formula than what was shown in Phases 4 and 5.
