WandaVision’s Quicksilver Story Is Made Even More Tragic By 1 Shocking MCU Detail

One major Quicksilver mystery has persisted in the MCU since WandaVision, but might have already been explained thanks to a shocking detail in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Even three years after its original release, WandaVision is still considered one of the MCU"s strongest projects, thanks to the efforts of Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, Teyonah Parris and many more. WandaVision"s incredible cast included some surprises, too, however, and one of the biggest shocks still hasn"t been addressed three years later.
Following her experiences in Westview, New Jersey, Elizabeth Olsen"s Wanda Maximoff went on to become a bona fide villain in 2022"s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. This evolution was helped by the Scarlet Witch acquiring the Darkhold from Kathryn Hahn"s Agatha Harkness, who toyed with the former Avenger throughout WandaVision. Most notably, Agatha Harkness used an unsuspecting resident of Westview to make Wanda believe her deceased brother, Pietro, had returned, contributing to one of the most surprising and confusing MCU debuts ever.
Wanda Maximoff Weirdly Accepted Evan Peters As Quicksilver In WandaVision Evan Peters' Appearance In WandaVision Was A Huge Surprise Close Shockingly, Evan Peters joined Olsen and Bettany as a member of the Maximoff family at the end of WandaVision episode 5, "On a Very Special Episode..." Peters previously portrayed Peter Maximoff"s mutant Quicksilver in 20th Century Fox"s X-Men franchise, leading many to believe that his appearance in WandaVision as, initially, Pietro Maximoff"s resurrected Quicksilver was marking the first crossover between the MCU and Fox"s franchise. While this was an exciting prospect for audiences, Wanda Maximoff"s reaction to her brother"s apparent return was far more interesting.
Related New WandaVision Deleted Scene Finally Answers A Big MCU Mystery, 2 Years Later Two years after WandaVision"s premiere on Disney+, one major mystery from the Phase 4 series has now been answered in a new, revealing deleted scene.
Besides a passing comment, Wanda Maximoff seemed to just accept that her brother had returned with a new face, body and personality. Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Evan Peters are very different, but these changes didn"t faze Wanda at all. For fans, it was thrilling and confusing to see Evan Peters return as Quicksilver, although he was soon outed as Agatha Harkness-controlled actor Ralph Bohner, but Wanda Maximoff didn"t question it. While it"s never been confirmed why she accepted this so quickly, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness might have provided the perfect answer.
Doctor Strange 2 May Have Explained WandaVision’s Quicksilver Confusion Doctor Strange 2 Confirmed Dreams Are Glimpses Into Alternate Realities Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness revealed that, in the MCU, dreams provide glimpses into alternate realities. This could be the perfect explanation why Wanda Maximoff wasn"t shocked when Evan Peters showed up as Quicksilver, as she may have dreamed about his version of the speedster from Fox"s X-Men universe, so he might have actually been a familiar face. Deadpool & Wolverine confirmed Earth-10005 to be an alternate universe in the MCU"s multiverse, so the image of Ralph Bohner from WandaVision may have already been appearing in the Scarlet Witch"s dreams.

8.8/10 WandaVision AdventureDramaActionSuperhero WandaVision, the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s first TV show on Disney+, first aired in 2021. The series kicked off the MCU’s Phase 4 and brought back Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff, aka the Scarlet Witch, and Paul Bettany as Vision. WandaVision strayed away from Marvel’s typical formula, this time formatting itself more like a classic sitcom as Wanda struggles to cope with the death of Vision.
